Second breakfast: to eat or not.


If you stick to the principles of healthy nutrition, you know that a second breakfast can bring additional benefits to your health. At the same time, it all depends on the state of your health and the quality of the food that you use for your second breakfast. If your health does not allow you to have long breaks between meals, a healthy lunch will help improve your condition.

Second breakfast has health benefits:

  • protects against stress,
  • improve digestion,
  • appetite control,
  • normalizes metabolism,
  • saturates with energy.

Many modern bloggers, who call themselves experts in healthy nutrition, recommend excluding second breakfast. They do not understand that such a recommendation may harm some people with various medical conditions.

Also, if you cannot eat your portion of breakfast, you can divide it in two. Eat the second part a few hours after breakfast and a few hours before lunch. Eat when you start to feel a slight feeling of hunger, and there are still a couple of hours left before lunch.

The best lunch options are:

  • fresh fruit,
  • nuts,
  • vegetables,
  • yogurt,
  • cheese.

Don’t ignore your second breakfast if you feel hungry between breakfast and lunch. A healthy snack will give you a feeling of fullness and healthy digestion.
