Hooray! Scientists have found a delicious way to lose weight. Nowadays there is debate about the benefits of caffeine. Fortunately, recent studies have shown that caffeine is a very effective tool in the fight against excess weight. The results of the study were published in the journal Functional Foods. Scientists said that they studied two groups of mice for a month. One group of mice consumed caffeine in a number that is equivalent to 4 cups per day. That caffeine was taken from mate tea.

It is worth noting that the caloric intake of the diet of both groups was the same.

As it turned out, after measurements at the end of the experiment, the group of mice that consumed caffeine gained less weight, and their fat percentage was 22 percent less than that of mice from the second group.

Elvira González de Mejía, co-author of the study claims that the results can be used to fight overweight. Caffeine can be considered one of the important ways of losing weight. The results of this study must be tested in humans, but today we can say with confidence that mate tea and caffeine are important in the treatment of metabolic disorders that lead to overweight.

Caffeine can bring many benefits to people who have extra weight. Do not be afraid to consume caffeine if you do not have contraindications because of your health. Nevertheless, despite its advantages, do not abuse this drink. Try not to drink more – 3 or 4 cups per day. We also do not recommend drinking caffeinated drinks after 3 p.m. because caffeine can ruin your sleep.
