Despite your best efforts, you are not getting the desired results from your workouts. Perhaps some of your habits are preventing you from achieving your goal. Therefore, you need to get rid of them to improve your training results and health.

Perhaps after a workout, you want just to eat and lie on your favorite couch. It is a good idea that will benefit you if you do everything right. Your body will replenish lost energy and relax. Therefore, you should listen to your body and satisfy its needs.

Ignoring certain principles can harm your health.

Habits that reduce the effectiveness of your workouts and harm your health.

You give up food after exercise.
You’ve burned a ton of calories, and your body wants energy to healthy function. You shouldn’t eat right after training, but skipping meals is also not the right idea. The most correct option is to eat something light 1.5-2 hours after exercising. The best post-workout foods are protein and simple carbohydrates. You can eat a vegetable salad with fish or chicken breast. Your task is to give your body what it needs to restore energy and muscles.

You don’t stretch after exercise.
Ignoring stretching leads to a lack of elasticity in your muscles and soreness. A few yoga exercises or stretching can help calm your pulse and muscles after hard work. Take 5-10 minutes of stretching, and your body will begin to take the desired shape faster. To calm them down, you need to stretch slightly immediately after exercise.

You have an inactive lifestyle.
Even if you train every day for 30 – 60 minutes, but the rest of the time you sit in the office or lie on the couch, then such a lifestyle will not allow you to have a beautiful and healthy body. Therefore, you should move more during the day. Take every chance to walk or move around the office.

You don’t shower after exercise.
During training, you touch sports equipment, the surface of which has various germs and bacteria. After exercising, you can touch your face or lips and transfer bacteria to your body. Therefore, remember to wash your hands or take a shower after exercise. Also, your clothes absorb sweat during exercise and develop pathogenic bacteria in them. You should take off your uniform immediately after training and take a shower.

You go to bed immediately after training.
Even if your workout was very intense, you should not go to bed right after your workout. You need to give your body at least 2 hours to transition smoothly from active to rest. If you want to have healthy sleep, do not ignore this rule.
